1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all individuals who access or use this website ("Service").
The Service is operated by a private individual ("Operator").
By using any part of the Service—including browsing, viewing content, or using tools—Users ("you") acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.
The Service follows the laws of the Republic of Korea, including:
- the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA),
- the Network Act,
- the Civil Act,
- and other applicable regulations.
These Terms clarify the rights and obligations of both the Operator and Users.
2. Description and Purpose of the Service

- vocabulary search interfaces (English, Biology, French, History),
- browser-based LocalStorage features for personalized vocabulary lists,
- import/export tools supporting JSON, CSV, and TSV formats,
- highlighting, filtering, and search functions,
- additional informational pages (Terms, Privacy, Update Logs).
The Service is non-commercial, free of charge, and requires no account registration.
It is intended solely for personal learning and reference.
3. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms become effective the moment you access or use the Service.
Continued use after any modification of the Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
If you disagree with these Terms or any future revisions, you must stop using the Service.
The Operator may change, suspend, or remove features without prior notice due to the personal nature of site management.
4. Acceptable and Prohibited Use
4.1 Acceptable Use
Users may:
- view, search, and utilize vocabulary tools for personal learning,
- import/export data for personal use,
- cite the Service for educational purposes.
4.2 Prohibited Use
Users must not engage in the following activities:
Security violations
- hacking, reverse-engineering, or modifying the Service or its code,
- injecting malicious scripts or harmful software,
- attempting unauthorized access to internal files.
Technical misuse
- automated scraping or crawling without permission,
- overloading the Service through excessive automated requests,
- interfering with hosting infrastructure.
Illegal/abusive behavior
- uploading copyrighted, illegal, or harmful content via import functions,
- impersonating the Operator or misrepresenting identity,
- violating Korean laws including copyright, defamation, or data protection laws.
Misuse of LocalStorage
- manipulating or injecting corrupt data that disrupts Service functionality.
Violation of this section may result in immediate access restriction or permanent blocking.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All source code, design, layout, text, graphics, and overall structure of the Service belong to the Operator unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Users may not copy, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the Service.
Educational use is permitted as long as content is not altered or misrepresented.
User-uploaded materials (e.g., vocabulary files) remain solely the responsibility and property of the User.
6. Service Availability and Modification
The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access due to reliance on external hosting platforms such as GitHub Pages.
The Service may experience downtime, delays, or performance limitations.
The Operator may add, modify, or remove functions to improve usability or maintain stability.
The Operator is not responsible for service disruptions caused by:
- internet issues,
- browser incompatibility,
- hosting provider errors,
- device malfunction.
7. User-Generated Data and LocalStorage
Vocabulary entries, settings, and imported files are stored solely in the User's browser LocalStorage.
The Operator cannot access, retrieve, or store LocalStorage data.
Clearing browser data, switching devices, or using private/incognito mode will permanently erase LocalStorage data.
Users bear full responsibility for backing up data through the export feature.
The Operator is not responsible for:
- data loss,
- broken or corrupted import files,
- errors caused by user-modified JSON/CSV/TSV files.
8. User-Uploaded Files
Imported files are processed temporarily within the browser and are not uploaded to any server.
Users must ensure that imported materials are lawful, safe, and free of harmful code.
The Operator assumes no responsibility for:
- copyright violations committed by User-provided materials,
- formatting errors,
- incorrect, incomplete, or harmful content included in files.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Korean law:
The Operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service.
The Operator does not guarantee:
- accuracy of vocabulary data,
- perfect compatibility with all browsers and devices,
- permanent saving of LocalStorage data,
- immunity from bugs or technical issues.
Users acknowledge that:
- the Service is free,
- the Operator provides it without warranty,
- all use is at the User's own risk.
10. Modifications to Terms
The Operator may revise these Terms at any time.
Revised Terms take effect immediately upon publication.
Users are expected to review the Terms periodically.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
12. Dispute Resolution
The Operator and the User shall attempt to resolve any disputes through good-faith discussion.
If no agreement is reached, disputes will be handled by the courts located in Seoul as the court of first instance.
